Marc Marquez juara di Missano, sedangkan Lorenzo harus out karena terjatuh, beruntung Rossi hanya berada di posisi ke lima, dan jarak antara mereka cuma terpaut 23 poin, dan yang naik podium adalah Marc Marquez, Bradley Smith dan Scott Redding. Redding, yang sebelumnya sempat terjatuh, beruntung bisa naik podium untuk pertama kalinya di kejuaraan MotoGP.
